Following a delegation visit by the hydrogen association HZwo e.V. to Pune in February 2026, a delegation from the Pune Hydrogen Valley visited Chemnitz from 25 to 30 April 2026.
During the visit, the delegation gained insights into the Advanced Powertrains department at Chemnitz University of Technology and met with members of HZwo e.V. Further internal discussions were also held on establishing a long-term partnership between the Pune Hydrogen Valley and HZwo e.V.
On 28 April 2026, the second Indo-German Green Hydrogen Summit was held at the headquarters of HZwo e.V. Around 30 companies from Saxony and other regions of Germany took part in the event. Markus Hoffmann-von Wolffersdorff delivered a presentation on best practices in Indo-German business relations.
At the close of the summit, Prof. von Unwerth, President of HZwo e.V., and Dr. Budama, Director of the Pune Hydrogen Valley, signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The event concluded with a dinner together at Schloss Lichtenwalde in Saxony.
The delegation visit from Pune has further deepened the Indo-German relationships already established and provided important impetus for future cooperation. Further joint activities are already being planned and are expressly sought by both sides.
